Marco is a seasoned business management professional specializing in marketing, business development and technology, with over 25 years of extensive experience in the Brazilian legal industry. His career spans diverse roles and projects, often in collaboration with global law firms, foreign consultancies and international organizations.

Among his many endeavors, Marco served in leadership roles at some of Brazil’s most prominent law firms, including Veirano Advogados (2013-2023; recognized as Marketing Team of the Year by The Legal 500), Campos Mello Advogados in cooperation with DLA Piper (2010-2012) and Dannemann Siemsen (1999-2006). Between these roles, he spearheaded consulting and training initiatives for law firms across the country.

Between 2007 and 2012, Marco conducted groundbreaking market studies in Latin America, including The State of Legal Marketing in Latin America (Legal Marketing Association), Brazilian study on the relationship between legal departments and law firms (LexisNexis) and The State of Legal Marketing: Brazil & Mexico (LexisNexis).

A frequent speaker at industry events, Marco regularly presents or participates in panel discussions on topics within his areas of expertise. Over the years, he has authored numerous articles and been quoted in publications both in Brazil and internationally. Currently, he writes (almost) every week on HORIZONTES, his Substack dedicated to legal BD and related themes, as well as leads BD-focused projects through his consultancy.

Marco holds both a bachelor's degree and a postgraduate degree in Business Administration. Based in Rio de Janeiro, he lives two blocks from the iconic Copacabana Beach with his wife.
