Patrick Spenner

APAC Managing Director, Facilitator

Patrick is a commercial leader, researcher and teacher. He consults to software and professional services firms on go-to-market strategy, positioning and commercial narrative development. Across his 25+ year career, he has played the roles of commercial transformation leader, general manager, CMO and head of strategy.

Prior to his move to New Zealand in 2017, Patrick spent 12 years at Corporate Executive Board (CEB), where he was a Strategic Initiatives Leader and Managing Director, developing insights, advice and benchmarks for Global 1000 functional heads in marketing, communications and advertising. He led teams that did quantitative and qualitative research supporting CEB’s breakthrough work on commercial excellence. Patrick is a co-author of The Challenger Customer, a Wall Street Journal best-selling book on B2B marketing and sales, and has contributed to Harvard Business Review and blogged for Forbes.

Patrick holds a BA in Economics from Georgetown University and an MBA from Stanford University. He lives on New Zealand's south island with his wife, four children and two overactive border collies.
